London, UK, June 3, 2024 (InfoSec Booth #A116) Metomic, a next generation data security solution for protecting sensitive data in the new era of collaborative SaaS, GenAI and cloud applications, is exhibiting at the 2024 Infosecurity Europe Conference at ExCel in London, June 4 - 6. During the conference, Metomic representatives will be on hand to share findings from the “Metomic 2024 CISO Survey: Insights from the Security Leaders Keeping Critical Business Data Safe” and discuss upcoming product launches, including Metomic’s soon-to-be-released feature that helps keep company-owned Google Workspaces safe and free of stale data.

Earlier this year, Metomic surveyed more than 400 CISOs in the UK and the U.S. on their priorities, challenges and strategy. According to the survey findings, 84% of all CISOs plan to focus their time and efforts on security operations in 2024. Another striking similarity between the UK and U.S. CISOs is that both groups rank data breaches as their top security concern.

The survey also broke down responses by country to identify key differences between what UK CISOs are up against compared to their counterparts in the U.S. Here’s a snapshot of what they discovered:

  • Total number of SaaS apps used by an organization:

In the U.S., 21% use 1 to 50 apps and 36% more than 200 apps

In the UK, 32% use between 1 to 50 SaaS app and only 23% use more than 200 apps

  • Confidence team knows which SaaS apps are being used:

38% of UK CISOs strongly agree

52% of U.S. CISOs strongly agree

  • Confidence in employees outside of the security org properly handling sensitive data?

42% of U.S. CISOs strongly agree

25% of UK CISOs strongly agree

  • Have employee training initiatives on security awareness been successful?

62% of U.S. CISOs strongly agree

35% of UK CISOs strongly agree

Where to find Metomic at Infosecurity Europe:
