September at Metomic has seen the introduction of new ICD procedure codes, as well as adding new Account Settings to give you more control over your data. Read on to learn more.
Introducing ICD Procedure Codes
Those in the healthcare industry will be pleased to see our newest classifiers: ICD Procedure Codes. Helping healthcare providers and insurance companies alike, these classifiers help ensure compliance with regulations like HIPAA and GDPR, as well as enhancing data privacy, improving workflow efficiency, and ensuring accurate handling of both current and historical medical records.
New ICD codes to be introduced are:
- ICD-10-PCS (International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision, Procedure Coding System): Provides detailed information about surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
- ICD-9-CM Procedure Code: An earlier version of the ICD coding system, this is relevant for historical medical records or systems that have yet to fully migrate to ICD-10.
New Account Settings
We’ve added Account Settings to your Metomic dashboard to further enhance data security. Now, only the top admin can control sensitive settings, allowing for more careful management.
Key options include:
1) Show Assets without Detections
Allows all content assets to be shown, even if no detection is found. Note: Automatic Workflows will apply to all matching assets, not just those with detections.
2) Content Preview
Enables viewing the content of a detection and additional context. This setting temporarily processes your data.
3) Workflow Jobs
Allows running actions on multiple items at once in the Assets page.
4) Download Asset Content
Generates a download link for file-type content. This will also temporarily process your data.
These settings are off by default and can be enabled as needed, giving you greater control over how Metomic manages your data. This provides flexibility in how data is handled while maintaining strong security and customisation options to suit specific needs.
