In October, we've enabled more actions for our customers via Metomic workflows, including limiting the amount of users added to Google Drive files, and the ability to redact sensitive data in Zendesk. Read on to learn more.
Google Drive users are now able to control how many people can access sensitive files. For example, if you want to limit a file to a maximum of 4 internal users, and 1 external user, you can set up a Metomic workflow to manage this. No further users will be added to the file.
By limiting the number of internal and external users, you ensure only the necessary people have access to certain files, reducing the risk of accidental oversharing. This can be particularly valuable for meeting compliance requirements and maintaining a higher level of data security.
Our newest feature in Zendesk ensures confidential data is kept secure and only visible to authorised users. You can now automatically redact sensitive information such as Personally Identifiable Information (PII), from tickets and comments, reducing the risk of data exposure.
This is especially useful for maintaining compliance with data protection regulations and building trust with customers by ensuring their sensitive information is handled with care.
I recently spoke to our team about data classification, and how vital it is for a comprehensive data security strategy, including real-world examples of how classifying your data can prevent data breaches.
